A revelation at DVino Wines and "Like a baby Amarone!". An incredibly full and powerful, fully organic Primitivo from Puglia in southern Italy. Just like Amarone a portion of the grapes used are dried to add even more body and complexity. Like drinking a Black Forest gateau!

Complex and elegant Fleurie from Beaujolais. Floral on the nose with ripe red and black cherry and wild strawberries.

The 2014 received 93 points from Tim Atkins Chile Report, not hard to see why... Lashings of ripe Black Fruit, White Pepper and Garden Herb with a twist of Sweet Spice on the end. Perfect with seared red meats.

A previous double gold winning Cabernet Sauvignon from an esteemed vineyard on the Limestone Coast in South Australia. A powerful wine with heady alcohol and ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas. Intense dark fruits and cassis on the mid palate. The finish is rich and warming, this wine would ideally match rare steak.

There is no doubt in my mind that if this were a Central Otago Pinot Noir you would pay £18 no problem! Don't let the drab label fool you this is the real deal. Rich, meaty and complex. Drinking beautifully now.

With an average vine age of 85 years, the intensity and purity of fruit of this wine are immense. Plum, Blackcurrant and Mulberry mingle seamlessly. A great wine to take along to a dinner party.

Founded in 1827 Chateau Purcari has provided wines to Buckingham Palace. This Pinot Noir is full and velvety with wild strawberry raspberries and hedgerow leaves. Pair with venison or hard cheeses.

Punchy Nero D’Avola from Sicily with trademark earthy wild fruit character. Look out for strawberry & cranberry but with background notes of garden herb. A great roast lamb pairing.

An absolute stunner of a Red for under a tenner and the wine that has kept my children in shoes for the last 4 years! Incredibly easy to drink yet not boring. Fruit driven and medium full yet with a complexity and character that belies its price tag. A super little vino.

We are huge fans of this Cabernet Sauvignon & have rarely tasted better at this price! Blackcurrant and deep, berry fruit leap from the glass, soft & ripe on the palate. Drink on its own or with roasted red meats.
