Urbina 2004 Gran Reserva Especial. Duncan and I found this from an independent exclusive Spanish supplier at the Manchester SITT Tastings. We were blown away and there's nobody selling this is North-West. Only 18 bottles & we don't know if it'll ever be back in stock at Dvino. Single Estate Own Vineyards Produced from Tempranillo Grapes. Aged 30 Months in American & French Oak. TASTING NOTES VISUAL Dark ruby color, middle layer with a thin mahogany trim. NOSE Complex nose, splendid maturity, mineral aromas, ripe fruit, figs, cherries and plums, tomato jam and dried apricots, cigar box, cherry blossom, harmonious and well defined spicy hints of cinnamon, vanilla and clove. Some leather, snuff leaves and nutmeg. Musk, incense and kola nut. Base of toffee candy, and balsamic notes, fresh and elegant. Very Complex and Amazing. PALATE On the palate harmonious and balanced oak and fruit tannins, great elegance and velvety softness, with a wonderful length that is appreciated.
