On holiday at Lake Garda, the importer of this wine (a Master of Wine) noticed everyone in the restaurant was drinking this.. A short trip to the vineyard later & a deal was struck! The best Lugana we’ve tasted.
Made exclusively from Tempranillo, this cracking Ribera undergoes not one but two selection processes, one for the bunches & a second for the grapes themselves, so only the best make it in! Red berries, deep & unctuous. Classic Ribera.
We are huge fans of this Cabernet Sauvignon & have rarely tasted better at this price! Blackcurrant and deep, berry fruit leap from the glass, soft & ripe on the palate. Drink on its own or with roasted red meats.
Sourced from a single vineyard situated around a famous 18th century garden. Ripasso method and 1 year in oak add power and complexity to this Italian stallion. Medium garnet in colour with intense smoky, cherry & violets on the palate.
“French” Tom Barton started importing Bordeaux back in 1725, grandson Hugh set about making wine in 1802.. Since then the family have continued to provide top class wines to the UK market. Medium bodied with plenty of spicy red fruit.
