The only independent Rioja producer in the region, Valdemar are specialists in sourcing the finest grapes from a 290 hectare area. A previous 95 point wine from Tim Atkins. This wine is the perfect balance between richness and acidity.

We tasted this wine with Manuel from the winery, it's a very fruit forward and modern style of Rioja. Wild Strawberries and herbs with an inkling of Sweet Spice. Oak is used sparingly but is noticeable on the finish.

Superb example of the Sauvignon grape, crisp and intense with steely minerality so indicative of Sancerre. Classy and with a great mouth-feel, would pair beautifully with delicate white fish dishes or Loire valley goats cheese!

A 100% Tempranillo from vines aged between 20 and 60 years. 24 months ageing in barrel gives plenty, though not excessive oak. Glorious ripe Red Fruit and a soft supple mouth-feel. Beautiful with Lamb dishes.
